Newt’s Billionaire Says Gingrich Is Done

VIDEO – Sheldon Adelson, the billionaire that personally saved Newt Gingrich’s campaign now says Gingrich is “at the end of the line”.

Sheldon Adelson is the Las Vegas casino mogul who single-handedly saved the Gingrich campaign in South Carolina.  Adelson, together with his wife and daughter, has given $16 million to the Gingrich Super PAC, Winning Our Future.  That’s $16 million of the total $18.9 million the Super PAC has raised as of February 29, 2012.

All of that money did help Newt win in South Carolina, reviving a campaign that went from leading in the Iowa caucus polls two weeks before election day to a third place finish after a barrage of negative ads from Restore Our Future, Mitt Romney’s Super PAC.  After the Gingrich win in South Carolina, Romney’s Super PAC hit back hard in Florida, carpet-bombing the state with negative ads.  Since then, Gingrich has only been able to muster up one other win, in his home state of Georgia.

Sheldon Adelson can see the writing on the wall now.  He is done funding his buddy Newt and will now move on to buy one of the other GOP candidates.  He says that he has talked many, many times to Mitt Romney recently….
