Romney Now WANTS CREDIT For Auto Bailout He Opposed

VIDEO – Romney: “I’ll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry has come back.”

Mitt Romney is clearly the candidate we all thought he was.  He will lie through his teeth about anything to get elected.  His motivation is clear – to get into the White House and make life easier for the Wall Street billionaires who financed his campaign.  When his top advisor stated that the general election is like an Etch-A-Sketch that you can shake up and wipe away your positions from the primary, he wasn’t kidding.  This may be the clearest example yet of that.

In 2008, Romney wrote an op-ed in the New York Times titled, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt” in which he states “IF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed.”

Now, he actually wants to take credit for the recovery of the auto industry.  Don’t believe it?  We can understand why, but here is video of the man actually saying “I’ll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry has come back.”

  1. You know what really gets me here? It’s not even Mitt Romney. I almost don’t even care that he’s coming out with such a blatant lie. What gets my goad more than anything is that people are so dumb and disengaged that this kind of garbage actually works!!!! I know that the focus here is on Super PACs completely distorting the campaign process, but man I always think…why do super pacs distort campaigns? Oh gee, because it gives candidates tons of money to throw up 30 second ads. Well….why do those ads have any effect?? Because people are so dumb that they’re actually swayed by the content of a 30 second ad created by a politician’s friggin opposition. If people weren’t such idiots, money wouldn’t matter as much, and Mitt Romney could lie till he was blue in the face and people would simply laugh at him, case closed. Sigh….nope. That’s not the case. Money matters. Disengaged people/dumb people believe lies. What a travesty.
